My very favorite park! this park has something for everyone and in a beautiful part of WI. Pet beaches are great for dogs. 2 lakes are spectacular for swimming and relaxing. Waterfall is very cool and easy to walk to. We stayed in Cox Hollow loop site 30 and it is great. Really nice playground and shower/bathrooms right there. Private sites are great. All of the sites in the outer loop of Cox Hollow were spacious and beautiful but no electric there which is fine for us tent campers.
We camped here in June of 08'...Park was INFESTED with ticks! We set up our tent and equipment and then took it all down and left in 4 hours. If you stood still you would have ticks crawling all over you. My poor dog had over 20 ticks we had to remove off him. The site was on the shore which would have been cool if you could enjoy it. Mosquito's were bad too but the ticks were unbelievable.
We stayed Jan. 09' in a tent on the shore. We must have been one of the only tents packed in like sardines between GIANT motorhomes. The sites weren't anything special...no shade, no privacy, but the amenities of a KOA are sweet! pool was great, tiki bar was relaxing and refreshing. prices were high but so is everywhere in the Keys. There is a beach, but don't plan on swimming there. It's rocky and mucky. No see-ums were bad. Was bitten up pretty bad by the time we left. As far as the Keys though...I HAVE THE KEYSDISEASE! luv the keys. Drove down in convertible from mainland. I'd go back to the keys in a heartbeat.
